Forrester kick of the season to a flyer with a dominant win!!
Forrester played Trinity in the first league game of the season, and what a way to start off with a comfortable win against their close Edinburgh rivals.
Man of the match Robbie Douglas, who started on the bench, got himself a hat trick of tries. His first one he had to beat at 4 or 5 players and made his way over the try line, the second one was lovely hands through the back line after the forward set it up nicely and he just strolled in. And the Third one was a well placed (lucky) kick from Standoff Alan Panther across the field that out witted the Trinity Defence and he took it with ease.
Scrum Half Sean Broadfoot could have had a hat rick if they never got football challenged, his jinky moves and fast feet and determination got him over for his tries!
Wrapped in Bubble Wrap for the whole apart from one weekend Gavin Sisson looked dominant out on the wing as always as he powered through a weak trinity defence after a really poor kick from trinity which gave Forrester the advantage of a scrum in their own half!
Forrester’s forwards played a big part in the game over powering the Trinity Forwards in some occasions and that was seen as Calum Aitkin tumbled over the white wash!
Paddy Bree also scored another try with the forward yet again powering over but the referee somehow never gave it (bad ref)
Forrester’s could of had more points on the score sheet as Trinity had a man sent off quite early in the second half for Punching Sean Broadfoot right in front of the referee...RED CARD #BYEBYE
Standoff Alan Panther kicked 2 out of the 7 tries but also bagged himself 2 penalty’s as well
With a great start to the season with the thrashing of the Trinity outfit things are looking bright for the mighty green machine
FINAL SCORE
TRINITY 17 - FORRIES 45
