FORRESTER DOMINATE IN A WELL DESERVED WIN!!!

Thanks to Gary Joss for the match report

It was a superb performance and a well deserved victory for the famous green machine down at the fortress today with a 39-7 victory over rivals Dalkeith.

Forrester started brightly with having most of the possession and it only took 9 minutes to get on the score sheet with sonny bill horsey (Garry Smith) galloping down the wing then with a superb offload to the Fish (David Allan) who then stormed through his opposite number to go over for the first try. Fraser Newbury could not convert.

Straight from the kick off Forrester scored again with Craig Morrison going on a mazy run beaten quite a few of the Dalkeith players to then get brought down just before glory, which let Bradley Moffat his partner in crime in the back row to fall over the line. Fraser Newbury again missed the kick.

Number 8 Stalwart Paddy Bree scored a try from 2 yards out from a Dalkeith scrum, Craig Morrison pounced on a loose ball and got away a great off load to the supporting Paddy for the score. Again Fraser Newbury missed the kick.

Dalkeith scored and got the kick.....

Half Time Forrester lead 15 -7

Craig Morrison got his well deserved try 2 minutes into the second half with some comical defending from Dalkeith and Craig Morrison pounced on the loose ball to score the try. Fraser Newbury put his kicking boots on for the second half and does what he does best and rattled it over the extra 2 points.

Another player deserving of a try was Garry Smith and it came in the 76 with a powerful run from Euan Wardrop going through 2 or 3 tackles then off loading to the man himself Garry Smith who then had to power through another couple of challenges to go over the line for try. it then left Fraser Newbury an easy kick for the 2 points.

Last try came from sub Daniel Park. Fraser Newbury gave Stewart Fulton a floating pass who then passed it onto Ryan Inglis who selfishly offloaded it onto Daniel Park to dive over the line. last kick of the game was left to Fraser Newbury from the touchline and he sailed it through with his eyes closed.

The moment of the game was when Paddy Bree (forward, number 8) was on his own 5m line and HOOOOOOFED the ball 60 yards down the field with the outside of his boot. What a kick....Who says forwards can't kick!!
