Penicuik with the KO gets the game started and some great open attacking play from Forrester early doors.

A kick from Penicuik gives Forrester the lineout just outside our 22. A great set piece from the greens puts Alan into space who chips and catches over the winger for the first score of the game. Newbs hitting the post puts Forrester 5 – 0 up.

Himbo catches the restart and loses the ball in contact, which Penicuik ship wide and a penalty is given away inside the 22. Penicuik take the points, 5 – 3.

Some more rugby is played by both teams in the pouring rain.
A scrum in the Penicuik 22, and another great set piece and offloads see’s Newbs go over the line and converts. 12 – 3

The game goes on with phases from Penicuik, only for the Greenies to turn them over and a great box kick from Sean has Rab chase and catch to put Penicuik on the back foot.

Newbs runs over his opposite number again to gain some yards for Alan to ping the ball into the corner. The opposition 12 takes the huff and leaves the field....Sub Penicuik...

The Greenies steals the lineout and Paddy powers over the line, unconverted. 17 – 3

Further into the game and Penicuik receive a yellow card for a ‘High Tackle’ which seemed a bit harsh for the type of tackle it was.

Another solid lineout from the greens and Alan breaks the line of defence with an offload to Himbo who Ballets his way over the line with some interesting movements. Newbs converts 24 – 3

The restart is pinged straight back into their 22, an interception at the lineout has Alan run in for his second try. Newbs Converts 31 - 3

This time Penicuik restart and kick down the throat of Himbo. Himbo responds with a, ‘It’s alright lads, I’ll be back the now!’ As he makes his way in and out of the opposition, he runs rings round the last three players to score under the posts for his second try. Newbs converts 38 – 3.

Some rugby tennis begins with a continued down pour of rain.
Sean slips and hurts his bum....

A knock on form Penicuik sets up a solid set piece for Neilly to run in to run in and score, with Newbs converting giving us a half time score of Forrester 45 – 3 Penicuik

Forrester with the restart, and the stats sheets are soaking wet!!! (Hence a short second half report)

Another solid scrum and Newbs break through the Penicuik defence for Newbs to offload and Alan runs in for his hat trick.

The paper well and truly soaked and the match report is out the window.
The greenies take their foot off the gas and Penicuik keep more of the ball.

The game continues and Forrester has scores from Craig Williamson, Brodie, and another from Neilly.

Last play of the game gives Penicuik a penalty try (Collapse/slip in the scrum) which is unconverted in front of the posts.
